The Great Divide bikepacking route is turning 20 this year. It has inspired many to tour, race and open businesses along the route. One of those persons is Cricket Butler. She learned about the route when she turned 40 and it has forever changed her life. She no longer races it, but supports and welcomes traveling cyclists all over the world at the Whitefish Bike Retreat.

A blast from the past. When we first set off almost a decade ago we wanted to make audio slide shows. We only made a few. I distinctly remember making this in a cheap motel in far west Texas. We had nothing to eat but a tin of olives and vienna sausages. To channel the hunger, I worked on making videos. This is one of those moments that you experience while traveling and hold on in the back of your mind like a lucky penny for when you need it most.
